About Greenway Views
LDK Seniors’ Living’s flagship village, Greenway Views, is in Greenway, Tuggeranong in Canberra, opposite the South Point shopping centre and walking distance to the Tuggeranong town centre. The village consists of 327 apartments, spread over five buildings that is about half a kilometre long from end-to-end. Greenway Views is home to nearly 400 residents over the age of 65. The village has over 6,000 square metres of communal space facilitating social connectedness and a vibrant village community. LDK delivers lifestyle-for-life through a variety of age-friendly facilities, amenities and activities for both independent and non-independent residents. On-site facilities include a gym, art centre, chapel, dance room, theatre, library, several hospitality outlets, village shed, barber shop, hairdresser, medical consultation room, grocer, purpose designed meeting spaces and a dog park.
About the Role
Role Responsibilities
Duties include but not limited to:
- To foster a constructive and supportive channel of communication with each resident in the program and their family members, aiming to create a Lifestyle Assessment Plan that truly reflects the resident’s interests and capabilities.
- Support the Resident Services Manager to plan group activities with a proactive approach to improve program attendance. To also identify residents within the village, who need to be integrated into the Supported Lifestyle Program to enhance the program’s footprint within the village.
- To take charge of creating, delivering, and assessing individual Lifestyle Care plans, both initially and on an ongoing basis. Additionally, guide the Supported Lifestyle team on the best Montessori methods for implementing these plans for each resident.
- To identify a range of activity options, both internally and externally (including engaging/purpose-driven bus outings), within an agreed-upon budget and integrate them into a monthly site program. Confidently promote the Lifestyle program among fellow staff and external stakeholders.
- To create positive relationships with the Care team and assist them by using village platforms to record resident progress and engagement. To work with village operations team to ensure a comprehensive, empathetic, and holistic approach to addressing the social, emotional, and cultural well-being of each resident.

- Certificate IV in Aging Support (Mandatory)
- Holds a First Aid certificate (Mandatory)
- Full Drivers Licence (Mandatory)
- Montessori knowledge applied to aged care (Desirable)
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (Desirable)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in working within the Aged Care sector & serving residents with dementia
- Has prior experience in leading teams and developing activities within the aged care sector
- Has a genuine interest in supporting residents with cognitive impairment and is keen to embrace the organisational values of Love, Decency and Kindness.
